With a huge surface area and critical biological functions, the skin is key to providing a barrier to toxins and regulating temperature.

For a few thousand dollars, Chinese companies offer to export a powerful chemical that has been killing unsuspecting drug users and is so lethal that it presents a potential terrorism threat, an Associated Press investigation has found.

The AP identified 12 Chinese businesses that said they would export the chemical — a synthetic opioid known as carfentanil — to the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, France, Germany, Belgium and Australia for as little as $2,750 a kilogram (2.2 pounds), no questions asked.

Featuring real life stories of RCMP officers who came into contact with Fentanyl while on duty, it is a sober reminder that anyone can be affected by this drug without even using it.

An increase in overdoses and deaths related to Fentanyl use is spreading across Canada and is one of the reasons the RCMP is choosing to release this video publicly; as a reminder that we all should exercise caution.

Firefighter Killed, Police Officers Injured in Bronx Explosion

A firefighter who responded to a report of a gas leak Tuesday morning was killed in a house explosion shortly after authorities discovered what appeared to be a drug lab.

The Fire Department of New York confirmed the firefighter's death shortly after the Bronx explosion.

The mayor's office had tweeted that the mayor and fire commissioner were at the hospital.
